La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the remastered and expanded reissue of renowned composer James Newton Howard’s (THE FUGITIVE, GRAND CANYON, WYATT EARP) original motion picture score to the dramatic-thriller feature film PRIMAL FEAR, starring Richard Gere, Edward Norton and Laura Linney, and directed by Gregory Hoblit.

Their debut album Primal Fear was released in February and entered the German LP charts at place 48 thus making it one of the highest chart entries of a debut album in German metal. The same year they toured with metal veterans Running Wild and HammerFall.

Musically, Primal fear's debut album sounds like a mix of Judas Priest and Gamma Ray, as some tracks are true heavy metal with Halford-like vocals, like "Chainbreaker", "Silver and gold", "Dollars" and "Running in the dust". Other tracks lean much more to the power metal side of things, and tracks like "Promised land", "Nine lives" and "Tears of rage" are excellent examples of this.

First cd has the greatest hits of Primal Fear which is excellent by itself. The 2nd cd consists of 9 cover songs. They cover Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Accept, Gary Moore, and Led Zeppelin. The Led Zeppelin cover of "The Rover" is one of the greatest covers ever. You cannot go wrong with this cd/5(24).
